Cargo Transport Customers
EFE is a rail infrastructure company specializing in the development, maintenance and management of railways, including the management of railway traffic based on the most modern traffic control system in South America. Our service coverage area goes from Ventanas, on the V Region, to Puerto Montt, X Region.
Our vision is to position the railway as the best alternative for cargo transportation in Chile, 100% customer-oriented. To do this, we are investing significantly in infrastructure and technology, thus ensuring our clients a high quality service.
The cargo transport service is performed by our carriers, who in turn hold a direct relationship with cargo customers. These carriers have an access agreement with our company, which regulates the rights and duties between the parties in the use of railway infrastructure.
Currently, we have two cargo carriers: FEPASA and TRANSAP, who operate since 1994 and 2000, respectively.
Today, 11 million tons are being transported annually through our rail network, including products of the forestry, mining, industrial, agricultural areas and containers. We also have warehousing services and own several properties for cargo use.

Rail transport is the safest alternative for cargo transportation, which becomes more important when it comes to hazardous products and substances, and contributes significantly to decongestion, decontamination and taking care of our environment. It also has the ability to move large volumes of cargo, helping to reduce damage on our roads.
